Hunter Park Telescope Night

The Astronomy Club of Tulsa and the City of Tulsa Parks Department will jointly offer a FREE public telescope observing night at Hunter Park on Saturday, August 30 from 7:30 to 10 p.m. This is a come-and-go event, free and open to the public. Astronomy Club member volunteers will have telescopes set up for all to enjoy viewing the craters on the First Quarter Moon as well as star clusters, nebulae and galaxies. If the eastern horizon is clear, we may get a glimpse of Saturn rising by 9:30 p.m..
Members of the Astronomy Club will also be available to answer any questions, if you have a telescope and want advice on how to set it up or operate it, feel free to bring your telescope to the park and seek help from knowledgeable members.
This event will be held at the elevated concrete labyrinth pad near the playground and picnic shelter.
