Programs

In this class, students will learn how to pour an ingot using a torch and turning it into usable materials like sheet and wire. Topics covered will be; preparing the crucible, metal and pouring, with a focus on safety. Additionally, we will learn how to use the rolling mill and draw plate to further refine our ingot. Students are encouraged to bring scrap silver to melt. Silver casting grain will be available for purchase.
A kit fee of $15 provides all materials necessary for the workshop. Previous metalsmithing experience is helpful but not required for this workshop.
