Description: With the flower season ending, we all want to preserve a little sliver of this colorful time of year. One of the best ways of doing that is flower pressing and drying! Learn one of the oldest and easiest techniques for preserving flowers, as well as some fun and easy crafts you can do after your flower is pressed. Discover flower power in four easy to do ways!

Benefits: Flower pressing is a STEM skill that is still taught in many horticultural courses in major universities today. While flower pressing can be too complicated for young children, teenagers can find much enjoyment out of this skill. Along with that, flower pressing gets people outside, and fosters an interest in the various Oklahoma native plants that grow in and around Tulsa.

Measurables: By the end of this course, students should be able to do the 4 different flower pressing methods without the assistance of the educator.
