Hunter Park Stargazing Night - November 13

The Astronomy Club of Tulsa and the City of Tulsa Parks Department will jointly offer a FREE public telescope observing night at Hunter Park on Friday, November 13 from 5 to 9:00 p.m. This is a come-and-go event, free and open to the public. Astronomy Club member volunteers will have telescopes set up for all to enjoy and we should be able to offer views of the moon, Saturn, Andromeda Galaxy, star clusters, and nebula. Jupiter will not be visible.

If you have a telescope and need help on how to set it up and operate properly, feel free to bring your telescope to the park. Members of the Astronomy Club will be available to give advise to use your telescope to enjoy viewing night sky objects. Please come about 30-45 minutes early if you are bringing your own telescope so we can get you started while it is still light enough to see but they are requested to give advanced notice by email to one of the astronomy club officers of their intentions. Contact info may be found at the Astronomy Club Website at www.astrotulsa.com.

This event will be held at the elevated concrete labyrinth pad near the playground and picnic shelter.
